As Vice President of Operations, Dan brings over 35 years of private and public sector experience to the Westmass Team. Areas of direct responsibility include managing the Development Services group, prospecting new business opportunities, coordinating and managing grant opportunities and strategic planning that further the company’s overall goals.

Prior to joining the Westmass Team, early in his private sector career, he owned and operated a consulting business specializing in OSHA compliance, and DOT and EPA hazardous materials regulatory compliance. His scope of practice was nationwide.  In 2000, he sold the company and became a principal for an environment consulting and engineering company based in Western Massachusetts.

His public sector career included nine years as a city councilor, six years as a mayor, four years as a town administrator, and the statewide director of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Green Communities Program.  Just prior to joining the Westmass Team, Dan was CEO of a Western Massachusetts based human services not-for-profit.

Dan’s experience with commercial and residential property ownership and management, assessment, demolition, and restoration of brownfield’s sites, coupled with a broad depth of knowledge of the clean energy industry and technology field provides the Westmass Team with a unique perspective when evaluating the potential of under-utilized properties for our Western Massachusetts municipal and private sector clients.
